Charles Fuller, 89, Dies After 2-Year Illness
Long-time Emmet County Resident.
Charles E. Fuller, 89, died at 3 o'clock this morning [October 5, 1946] at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Clare Fuller Wilson, where he had been an invalid for the past two years. He was a long-time resident of Emmet county.
Fuller was born Feb. 17, 1857, in Lee county, Illinois, where he spent his boyhood. On Aug. 3, 1882, he was married to Ella E. Fletcher, one of Emmet county's first teachers, at Toledo, Ia. They settled at Swan Lake on a farm, leaving the farm in 1904 to live in Estherville.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. A. C. Andrews of Gruver and Mrs. Clare Fuller Wilson of 617 North Eighth street [Estherville]; six grandchildren, three great grandchildren, a sister in St. Albans, Vt., and several nieces and nephews.
He was a member of the Presbyterian church and Masonic bodies.
Funeral arrangements are not yet complete, but services will be held in the Presbyterian church, Rev. R. C. Mitchell, interim pastor, officiating.
