WALLINGFORD, Iowa -- Services for Beverly J. Felkey, 74 of Wallingford will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Wallingford Lutheran Church. Burial will be in Wallingford Lutheran Cemetery.

Mrs. Felkey died Wednesday, Oct. 16, 2002, at Methodist Hospital, St. Louis Park, Minn. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. today at Henry-Olson-Fuhrman Funeral Home, Estherville.

Beverly J. Felkey the daughter of Jeffrey A. and Bertha (Nelson) Olson, was born August 27, 1928, on a farm west of Wallingford, Iowa. She passed away Wednesday, October 16, 2002 at the Methodist Hospital in St.Louis Park, Minnesota, at the age of 74 years.

She attended rural school through eighth grade and graduated from Estherville High School in 1946.

On January 31, 1947, she was united in marriage to Byrl L. Felkey at the Wallingford Lutheran Church. After working at the Iowa Trust and Savings for nine years, she completed her college education with an AA Degree from Iowa Lakes Community College and a BA and MA from the University of Northern Iowa in Cedar Falls. She was employed in the ILCC Business Department. After retiring, she and Byrl moved to Wallingford. They enjoyed traveling together. Byrl passed away in 1990.

Beverly was a member of Wallingford Lutheran Church, Sunday School, and Priscilla Circle, and VFW Auxiliary. She enjoyed Bible Studies, e-mailing friends and relatives and family gatherings.

Mrs. Felkey is survived by her mother, Bertha Olson of Estherville; sons, Jack Felkey and his wife, Debby of Bozeman, Montana, Russell Felkey and his wife, Lori of Armstrong, Iowa; nine grandchildren: Amanda (AJ), Isaac and Lucas of Bozeman, Joel, Anna and David of Minnetonka, Nicole Rochleau and her husband, Joel of Iowa Falls, Iowa, Anthony and his wife, Erica of Duncan, Iowa, and Lacey of Armstrong; great-grandchild, Hudson; two aunts, two uncles and many nieces and nephews.

She has been preceded in death by her husband and father.
