ESTHERVILLE, Iowa -- Services for Lois Feger, 83, of Estherville will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, December 19, 2003, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Estherville, Iowa with Father Jerry Cosgrove presiding. Interment will be in St. Patrick's Catholic Cemetery, Estherville, Iowa.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Thursday at Henry-Olson-Fuhrman Funeral Home, Estherville. There will be a vigil service 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Lois Adeline Stark, the daughter of Louis and Grace (Wheatley) Stark, was born February 28, 1920, on a farm in rural Emmet County, Iowa. She passed away from cancer Monday, December 15, 2003, at Rosewood Manor in Estherville, Iowa, at the age of 83 years.
She attended school at Emmet Consolidated.
On September 19, 1940, she was united in marriage to Walter Feger at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Estherville. Lois farmed with her husband northwest of Estherville until the time of his death. She then farmed with her son for a few years before her retirement.
She was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church and for hobbies, she enjoyed knitting and she made an awesome peanut brittle. Most important was spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Lois is survived by her son, Ronald Feger and his wife, Milly of Estherville; daughter, Pat Sundall and her husband, Larry of Estherville; grandchildren, Lori Chrestiansen and her husband, Bruce and their children, Sarah and Emily of Estherville; Brenda Galm and her husband, Paul and their children, Cassie, Abby and Nathan of Spencer, Iowa; Ronda Newgard and her children, Cody and Lauren of Estherville; Terry Feger of Estherville; and Jill Sundall and her husband, Kevin and their children, Ryan and Brandon of Spirit Lake, Iowa; one sister, Naomi "Mickey" Fox and her husband, Jim of Estherville.
