Enerson Rites Set
Emely Joseph Enerson, 80, died yesterday [12 Dec 1963] at 9:50 at Holy Family Hospital [Estherville, IA] from complications of advanced age. Mr. Enerson had been in failing health for the past three years.
He was born in Marseilles, Ill., on April 7, 1883, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Enerson and received his education in the rural Illinois schools.
On January 15, 1908, he and Emma Thoreson [Thorson] were united in marriage at Langham, Ill. They farmed near Morris, Ill., until 1917 when they moved to Emmet County where they have farmed ever since. He was a longtime member of the Estherville Lutheran Church.
Survivors include his widow, two sons, Alfred and Roy, both of rural Estherville; one daughter, Mrs. Arnold (Lillian) Dahl of Thompson, nine grandchildren, one great-grandchild and one sister, Mrs. George Thoreson of Seneca, Ill. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.
Services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. for the family with public services at 2:30 in Estherville Lutheran Church with the Rev. Roy Hendrickson officiating. Burial will be in Eastside Cemetery.
Reese Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements and friends may call from this afternoon until 11 a.m. Saturday morning when the body will be taken to the church to lie in state until time of services.
