ESTHERVILLE - - Services for Mrs. Frank (Lulu) Ellwanger, 93, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in the United Methodist Church with Rev. Clifford Haider officiating. Internment will be in East Side Cemetery. She died Sunday at the Good Samaritan Center.

Friends may call at the Henry and Olson Funeral Home after 4:30 p.m. Monday.

Lulu May Wood was born Oct. 28, 1888 near Ankeny, the daughter of John and Marietta (Howard) Wood. She attended Ankeny schools and Highland Park College in Des Moines.

She was married to Frank Ellwanger on May 6, 1908 at Ankeny. She taught school after college; after her marriage she moved to Emmetsburg before moving to Estherville in 1929 where she has continued to live since.

She was a member of the United Methodist Church; Rebecca Lodge, Pythian Sisters, Degree of Honor and Service Star Legion.

Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Pearle Myers, one grandson Wayne Myers both of Estherville; one granddaughter, Mrs. Jospeh (Janice ) Brewington, Minneapolis, Minn. and three great-grandchildren, one brother Donald Woods, Des Moines and one sister, Mrs. Melvin (Leota) Underwood, Des Moines.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, two sisters and six brothers.
