Naomi Maxine (Stark) Fox 1925-2022

Naomi Maxine Fox, daughter of Louis and Grace (Wheatley) Stark was born on April 22, 1925, at home in Emmet County, Iowa. She passed away in Sioux Falls, South Dakota at Avera McKennan Hospital on March 9, 2022, at the age of 96.

Naomi graduated from Emmet County Consolidated High School in 1943. On November 11, 1944, she was united in marriage to James Fox in Jackson, Minnesota. The couple made their home in Estherville, where they raised their boys.

Naomi was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Estherville, where she was a deacon for six years and an elder for six additional years. She enjoyed knitting, embroidery, crossword puzzles and time with family.

Naomi is survived by her children Michael (Mary) Fox of Woodward, Oklahoma, Richard (Arliss) Fox of Cresco, Iowa, Terry (Debra) Fox of Broadhead, Wisconsin, and Jon (Patsy) Fox of Indianapolis, Indiana; 18 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; and 13 great-great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband James Fox, her sister Lois Feger, and a great-great-granddaughter, Olympia Rose Eisenbacher.

The funeral service was held Monday, March 14, 2022 at the Henry-Olson Funeral Chapel in Estherville, Iowa, with interment at East Side Memorial Cemetery, Estherville.
