David Dewain Myers 1957-2021

David Dewain Myers was born November 29, 1957 at the Holy Family Hospital in Estherville, Iowa to John A. and Norma (Neppl) Myers. He passed away on February 20, 2021 at Avera Holy Family Hospital in Estherville at the age of 63.

David was baptized and confirmed at the First Presbyterian Church in Estherville.

After attending school in the Estherville school system, David enlisted in the United States Army on July 25, 1977. Sgt. E 5 David D. Myers was honorably discharged on June 17, 1983. He was stationed in Germany.

David then returned to Estherville where he made his home. He worked as an independent carpenter. David was also employed by local farmers helping with seasonal work.

David married Bonnie Mitchell on October 2, 1987. They had three children.

Left to cherish David's memory are his mother, Norma Myers; his three children, daughter, Brooke (Tyler) Osborn; sons, Greg and David; granddaughters, Mia, Madilyn and Macie Osborn; sisters, Marcia (Bob) Davis; Margaret (Craig) White and many nieces and nephews.

David was preceded in death by his father, John A. Myers; brother, John F. Myers; grandparents, Wes and Ella Mae Myers and Ed and Julia Neppl.

A funeral service was held Thursday, February 25, 2021 at the Henry-Olson Funeral Chapel in Estherville.
