Funeral services for Jeanette C. Richardson, 94, of Estherville,Iowa were held Saturday, Sept. 26, 2020, at Grandview Baptist Church in Estherville with Pastor Neil Schindler officiating. Interment was at Oak Hill Cemetery, Estherville. She died Saturday, Sept. 19, 2020 in Estherville.

Jeanette C. Richardson, daughter of James and Hazel (Kemp) Monk, was born on Jan. 14, 1926, in Barnesville, Minnesota.

Jeanette married Gerald W. Richardson on March 31, 1946, in Minnesota before moving to Estherville in 1949. They were both baptized at the Union Baptist Church in 1952. The couple was blessed with four children, Dan, Don, Kathy, and Bonnie.

Jeanette was a member of Grandview Baptist Church and the VFW Auxiliary. In her free time, she enjoyed cooking, crocheting, and playing the organ and guitar, but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Don Richardson (Marie Grems), Kathy Nordhausen and Bonnie (Dennis) Davis; 14 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great grandchildren and her daughter-in-law, Phyllis Richardson.

Jeanette was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald, on Oct. 20, 1995, her parents, James and Hazel (Kemp) Monk, a son, Dan Richardson, daughter-in-law, JoAnn Richardson, granddaughters, Allisha Davis and Terri (Paul) Jager, infant great-grandson, Elijah Chad Nordhausen, siblings, Charlyne Nelson, Opal Carpenter, Dorothy Cline, Bernice King, Leo Monk, Russell Monk, Harold Monk, and Paul Monk.
