Father of Mrs. Gilbraith Dies at Thorndyke Home
Albert Marvin Mosher passed away Tuesday morning, January 22, at the home of his granddaughter, Mrs. Wilbur Thorndyke, Estherville, Iowa, with whom he had made his home for nine years. During these years he had suffered from four strokes of paralysis, which impaired his health and strength and rendered him a continual invalid. Several weeks before his death he was troubled with hardening of the arteries, which ultimately led to his disease. He was born August 22, 1851 at Delavan, Wisconsin. When yet a small boy his parents moved to Chicago where he spent most of his life. In 1877 he married Marie Alice Conrick. Two children were born to them: Henry Preston died in infancy; Mrs. Laura Gilbraith survives her father and lives with her daughter, Mrs. Thorndyke. Mr. Mosher conducted a store in Chicago until he moved to Estherville. His wife passed away fifteen years ago. Owing to his precarious condition of health he was unable to meet with people and form acquaintances as he otherwise would have done. He passed away at the ripe age of seventy-seven years.

The funeral services will be Thursday afternoon at the Mahlum and Anderson chapel in charge of Dr. Chipperfield, pastor of the Methodist church. Interment will be made in Oak Hill cemetery. (Vindicator and Republican, Estherville, IA, January 23, 1929 / Estherville Enterprise, Estherville, IA, January 23, 1929)
