Estherville – Mrs. J.P. (Jose [Josie] Frances Clark, 70, Estherville, succumbed Monday, Aug. 1, at Holy Family Hospital, Estherville, following a four-day illness. Cause of death was a cerebral hemorrhage.Services for Mrs. Clark will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 3, at the First Presbyterian Church, Estherville, with the Rev. Harvey Throop officiating. Interment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.
Friends may call at Fuhrman Funeral Home until 1 p.m. Wednesday, when the body will be taken to the church.
The daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Biedermann, Mrs. Clark was born April 19, 1907, in Guthrie County. She moved to Emmet County in 1935 and was married to Dr. Clark Nov. 29, 1945, at Fairmont, Minn.
Mrs. Clark was an R.N., graduating from Mercy Hospital, Des Moines. She was employed at Holy Family Hospital and in the medical offices of Dr. Clark and Dr. G.B. Johnston.
She was a member and elder of the First Presbyterian Church, Estherville, and active in the United Presbyterian Women’s organization.
Mrs. Clark is survived by her husband, Dr. J.P. Clark; three children, Neil Clark, Cambridge, Mass., Mrs. Marcia Lipson, Rockville, Md., and Steven Clark, Minneapolis, Minn.; one brother, Paul Bedermann, Rolfe; and two sisters, Mrs. Anna Gahm, Olivia, Minn., and Mrs. Everett (Dorothy) Brandt, Sherburn, Minn.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister and one brother. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, August 2, 1977)
