James T. Hull Dead
On Sunday [April 16, 1905] morning last at 10:30 o’clock occurred the death of James T. [Thornton] Hull, a well known resident of this city, after an illness extending over a period of two or three years. The funeral was held from the Christian church Tuesday afternoon at four o’clock, conducted by Rev. Cole, assisted by B.M. Scott. The remains were taken to Saybrook, Ills., for burial.Deceased was aged 61 years and 10 months and had been a resident of Emmet county for the past five years. During the first year of his residence here he lived on the farm but failing health compelled him to retire from active labor so he came to the city and made his home here ever since. During the past winter he suffered a good deal and his death which came peacefully and gradual ended a period which at times was accompanied by much pain. He leaves a wife and five children, Clara B. Hinthorn, Ella N. Harmon, William L., Charles H. and Ben H. Hull, the latter aged two years and the only child through his second marriage.
He was a devout and consistent member of the Christian church, a good man taken all in all and well considered by all who knew him. In their sorrow the condolence of many friends is extended to the family members for they have lost a kind and affectionate husband and a provident and loving parent.
