Ringsted – Services for Mrs. Bessie Caroline Miller, 92, of Ringsted, will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the First Presbyterian Church in Ringsted, with Rev. Harold Stepanek officiating. Interment will be in the Armstrong Grove Cemetery. She died Monday, Nov. 25, 1985 at the Fairmont Community Hospital in Fairmont, Minn.

Friends may call at the Henry and Olson funeral Home in Ringsted between 3 and 9 p.m. on Wednesday and from 9 a.m. to noon on Friday. There will be no visitation on Thursday.

Miller was born Sept. 5, 1893 in Dolliver, the daughter of Elman and Emma (Erickson) Evans. She attended the Dolliver schools and the Cedar Falls Teachers College and retuned to teach school in the Dolliver area. On August 19, 1914 she was united in marriage to James Miller in Dolliver. The couple farmed in the Dolliver and Armstrong area until 1936, when they moved to Ringsted. She moved into Ringsted in 1950 and lived in the Lutz Wing at Fairmont for the last three years. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Ringsted.

Survivors include one son, Wayne, and his wife Mildred of Lake Mills; two daughters-in-law, Mrs. Martha Miller of Armstrong and Mrs. Ardith Miller of Ringsted; 11 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, James; two son, Russell and Randall; one sister, Olive and three brothers, Floyd, Ed and Raymond. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, November 27, 1985)
