Ex-local Resident Dies
Mrs. F.I. Byerly [Laura] of Lewistown, Mont., formerly of Estherville, died yesterday after a long illness. Mrs. Byerly, sister of Mrs. G.W. Gruwell, lived in Estherville before her marriage and again when Mr. Byerly, who is an architect, was working on plans for the High School building here. The Byerlys have often visited relatives here. Funeral services will be held at Sandin funeral home Thursday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Thomas G. Mellon officiating. Accompanying the body to Estherville will be Mr. Byerly and a son, Kenneth, of Lewiston and also attending the funeral will be a daughter, Florence Byerly of Des Moines and relatives from Wisconsin. Mrs. Byerly is survived by her husband, son and daughter, three grandsons, her sister, Mrs. Gruwell, and two half brothers, Henry and Charles Rhodes of Burlington, Wisc.
