Woman Drops Dead In Yard At Home
Mrs. John Loewenberg, 37, living six and a half miles northeast of Armstrong, died at her home early last Wednesday [January 24, 1940] morning.

She had gone into the yard for a basket of cobs and returned to the corner of the house where she fell. Her husband, who had been doing chores, found her a short time later, and it is believed she died of a heart attack.

The son, 16 years old, left just a short time before to attend school at Swea City.

Mr. and Mrs. Loewenberg and son had attended a basketball game in Swea City the previous evening and on their return to their home had partaken of a lunch before retiring for the night.

The deceased leaves her husband and one son to mourn her departure. (Vindicator and Republican, Estherville, IA, January 30, 1940)
