Odebolt – Funeral services for Ann Louise McIntire Kollasch, 44, of Odebolt and formerly of Armstrong and Estherville, will be held at 2 p.m. today, Wednesday, August 16 at the Nazareth Lutheran Church in Armstrong with Pastor Paul Rothfusz officiating. Interment will be held at Armstrong Grove Cemetery, Armstrong. She died Saturday, August 12 at her home in Odebolt.Visitation was held Tuesday, August 15, at the Henry-Olson-Fuhrman Funeral Home in Armstrong.
She was born on February 23, 1951 in Denver, CO. the daughter of L.E. and Agnes (Opsal) McIntire. She attended school in Armstrong and graduated from Armstrong High School in 1969. She then attended Waldorf College and graduated in 1971. She was united in marriage to James Kollasch on June 25, 1971 at the Nazareth Lutheran Church in Armstrong. After their marriage, the couple lived in Estherville for several years. After Jim entered the military service, the family lived in many different places around the world. She taught for one year in Virginia and also worked as a teacher in early childhood development in daycare centers several of the places where they lived. They moved to Odeboldt in 1994.
She was baptized and confirmed in the Nazareth Luther Church in Armstrong.
She is survived by her husband, one son, Pvt. Chad Kollasch, USMC of Camp Pendleton, CA; her mother, of Armstrong, one brother, Richard McIntire of Ringsted; one sister, Betty Helgason of Armstrong.
She was preceded in death by her father, one brother and her grandparents. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, August 16, 1995)
