Ruby Ida Opsal Krumm the daughter of Ole and Mary (Johnson) Opsal was born August 22, 1915 in Armstrong, Iowa and departed this life on Thursday, April 3, 2008 at Valley Vue Care Center in Armstrong, Iowa at the age of 92.

She graduated from Armstrong High School in 1933.

On October 15, 1936 she was united in marriage to Richard Krumm. The couple lived in Swea City until 1942 when they moved to Armstrong. Ruby was a cook at Armstrong School for several years, played the organ for Nazareth Lutheran Church, sang in the choir and was soloist for many occassions.

She was a member of Nazareth Lutheran Church her entire life.

Survivors are her son, William Krumm and his wife, Joann of Norfolk, VA; daughter, Mary Kay Picht and her husband, Elward of Armstrong, IA; eight grandchildren, Alan Krumm and his wife, Sherre; Dale Krumm and his wife, Barbara; Glen Krumm and his wife, Tarn; Ric Picht and his wife, Denice; Robyn Picht-Ruark and her husband, Mark; Randy Picht; Brian Krumm; Daryn Krumm and his wife, Wendi; 15 great grandchildren, Adam; Meredith; Laura; Rachel; Erik; Erin; Samuel; Alexandria; Laycon; Julianna; Gratia; Gavin; Austin; Ben; Danielle; and four great-great grandchildren, Tyler; Cheyenne; Annabella and Kimberly.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Richard in 2001, son David in 1992, 10 brothers and sisters, Sadie, Jenny, Mabel, Junis, Jerry, Mavis, Ted, Orville, Bud and Otie.
