Obituary for Mr. and Mrs. John Kish
John Kish was born in Joe, Davis County, Ill., on the 2nd day of November, 1862. He passed away from this life on the 24th day of May, 1925, at the age of 62 years, 6 months and 22 days.

Mrs. Ida Kish was born in Ogle County, Ill., on the 19th day of September, 1877, and departed from this life on the 24th day of May, 1925, at the age of 48 years, 9 months and 5 days.

Mr. Kirk [Kish] died of pneumonia and Mrs. Kish of heart trouble. Mr. and Mrs. Kish were united in marriage in Emmet County, Iowa, in the year 1909. Shortly afterwards they came to North Dakota where they made their permanent home until the time of their deaths. Four children have been born to that union, two daughters and two sons. Martha age 15, Bertha age 13, John age nine and Clarence age four, all living to mourn the loss. [Died at Dawson, Kidder County, ND]

John Kish is survived by one brother, Mr. Nicholas Kish, and one sister, Mrs. Lewis Burke, both of Warren, Illinois. Mrs. Ida Kish is survived by six brothers: George Greise, of Lakota, Iowa; Henry Greise of Ortinville, Minn., and Hiram, Joh, Edward and Martin Greise, Dolliver, Iowa; and two sisters, Mrs. Anna Harness of Casseltown, N.D. an Mrs. Carrie Benton, Dolliver, Iowa, as well as a number of friends in the community.

They come, they go, yes, one by one
To that eternal home.
The rich, the poor, the old, the young
Marching to the goal.

The funeral services were held in the Armstrong M.E. church. The Rev. A.G. Heddle having charge of the services and assisted by the Rev. M.L. Carver. Interment was made in the Armstrong cemetery. (Estherville Enterprise, Estherville, IA, June 3, 1925)
