Hans Wiuff Dies at 77
Hans P. Wiuff, 77, of Armstrong died of a heart attack at 1:25 p.m. yesterday at Holy Family Hospital. He had been ill for the past two months.

He was born June 16, 1882, in Denmark, the son of Chris and Dorothy Wiuff, and came to this country when he was seven years old. He received his education in Humboldt and Emmet county schools. He was married to Minnie Skow March 29, 1911, in Kossuth County, Swea township. They moved to Armstrong in 1915.

Wiuff was a gravel contractor, operated a garage and farm implement business and was also a trucker. He retired about two years ago. He was baptized in the Lutheran faith.

He is survived by his wife and one sister, Mrs. Carrie Anderson, 90, of McMannville, Oreg.

Funeral services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at the Armstrong Methodist church, the Rev. Roger Tappmeyer officiating. Friends may call at the Slaba Funeral Home from Saturday until time of services. Burial will be in Armstrong Grove Cemetery. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, May 15, 1959)
