G.V. Weller of Armstrong Dies at 64
George Vernon (Binks) Weller, 64, lifetime resident of Armstrong died at 10 o’clock this morning of a heart attack at Holy Family hospital. Mr. Weller had been in poor health for the past two years having suffered several strokes, and had been hospitalized this last time for the past three weeks.

Born Sept. 6, 1891, at Armstrong, George Weller had been employed by Estherville Sand and Gravel until semi-retirement a couple of years ago.

Unmarried, Mr. Weller is survived by three brothers, William of Huntington; Irvin of Cedar Rapids and Harvey of Grand Rapids, Minn.; and three sisters, Mrs. Clara Harvego of Huntington, Mrs. Gladys Morgan of Minneapolis, Minn. and Mrs. Susie Hansen of Brainerd, Minn.

Funeral arrangements have not been completed as yet but will be published in tomorrow’s Daily News. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, August 22, 1956)

Weller Rites Friday
Funeral services for George Vernon (Binks) Weller, who died yesterday morning following a heart attack, will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday at the Armstrong Presbyterian church, the Rev. Donald Glazier officiating. The body will lie in state at Sternborn Funeral home this afternoon and evening and then be taken to the Slaba Funeral Home in Armstrong to lie in state from 9 a.m. tomorrow until 1:30 p.m. Burial will be in the Armstrong Grove cemetery. George Weller of Armstrong Died at 65
George Vernon Weller was born Sept. 6, 1891 on a farm near Armstrong. The youngest son of A.W. and Susanna (Davis) Weller.

He passed away Aug. 22, 1956 at Holy Family Hospital in Estherville, Iowa.

He was preceded in death by his mother, father and one sister.

Survivors are three brothers and three sisters, Harvey of Grand Rapids, Minn., Irvin of Cedar Rapids, William and Mrs. Clara Harvego of Huntington, Mrs. Susie Hansen of Brainerd, Minn., and Mrs. Gladys MOrganof Minneapolis and 26 nephews and nieces.
