Cecil Watrous Dies
Cecil Watrous, 75, retired Armstrong farmer, died Wednesday [January 13, 1954] night at a Cherokee hospital. He had lived in Armstrong community since 1911 until the past fall when he went to the home of his sister, Mrs. Chance Waggoner, at Lake City. Mr. Watrous became ill there last week and was taken to Cherokee. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Methodist church in Armstrong. Burial will be in the Armstrong Grove cemetery. Surviving his death are three daughters, Mrs. Dick Boyken of Armstrong, Mrs. Henry Dietz of Vesta, Minn., and Mrs. Curtis Myers of Fairmont. 11 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
