Woman Dies at Armstrong
Burial Rite for Mrs. Amanda Pearson, 76, Held Tuesday at Swanson Home
Funeral services were held for Mrs. Amanda Christinia Warner Pearson, mother of Mrs. Otto Swanson of Armstrong. Mrs. Pearson came to Armstrong last May to make her home with her daughter.

Rev. R.W. Boade has charge of the services at the Swanson home.

Amanda Christinia Pearson was born at Kristdale, Sweden, Nov. 6, 1859, the youngest in the family of seven. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith. She was married to Warner Pearson in the 1887 and to them were born two children, Josephine Christenia Swanson of Armstrong and Carl August of Jamestown, New York.

Her husband died March 3, 1892, leaving her a widow with two small children which she brought up in the Lutheran faith.

In 1908 she came to America to make her home with her daughter, Mrs. Swanson in Jamestown, New York, who later moved Armstrong. Since then she has made her home between her son and daughter coming to Armstrong in May, 1935, where she spent her last days until her maker called her to her heavenly home April 25, 1936.

She leaves to mourn her loss her two children, 10 grandchildren, three great grandchildren in the United States and one sister in Sweden. (Vindicator and Republican, Estherville, IA, April 28, 1936)
