Had Been Ill of Heart Disease For Two Years; Entire Life This Community
Mrs. Henry Flier, 52, died at her home in Armstrong Monday [July 15, 1935] at 5 p.m. of heart disease. She had been ill for the past two years but her last critical illness was of but two weeks duration.Born August 15, 1882, near Estherville, Agnes Jeanette Holland had spent almost her entire life in this country. She was married in February, 1899, to Henry Flier. Two sons were born to them, the oldest dying as a child of three years. The younger son Arnold lives on a farm near Armstrong. Mr. Flier, the father Harry Holland, three sisters and four brothers also survive. The sisters are Mrs. Margaret Brook, Charles City, Mrs. Minnie Booth, Seattle, Wash., Miss Adelaide Holland, Armstrong, the brothers, Stanley Holland of Milwaukee, Wis., Harry of Hastings, Minn., Delbert of Armstrong and Percy of Bode.
Funeral services are being held Thursday afternoon at two thirty from the Armstrong Presbyterian church in charge of Rev. A.G. Bailey of Estherville. (Vindicator and Republican, Estherville, IA, July 16, 1935)
