Larry Alan Evans was born November 9, 1960 to Laurence and Phyllis (Krueger) Evans in Estherville, Iowa. He died on Saturday, May 28, 2011 in Sioux Falls, South Dakota at the age of 50.
He was baptized and confirmed in Nazareth Lutheran Church in Armstrong.
He graduated from Armstrong High School in 1979. Following his graduation from high school he enlisted in the United States Air Force. Larry served his country for 8 years, including time in Grenada. Upon returning to Iowa he farmed with his father and brother for a few years before starting his present career of over the road trucking. Larry was very proud to own his own semi-tractor. Over his years of trucking, he developed many life long friendships. One of his favorite things to do was to spend a week each year on a Caribbean Cruise with his many friends. In November of 2010, he celebrated his 50th birthday on a cruise.
Larry was an avid "texter" on his phone known as the "Text King". His signature on his phone was "Its All Good".
Left to cherish Larry's memory are his parents, Laurence and Phyllis Evans, sisters, Marsha Evans of Armstrong; Mary (Roger) Tirevold of Armstrong; Janet Isaacson of Mason City; Carol (Greg) Sukalski of Fairmont, Minnesota; brother, Lee Evans of Armstrong and "adopted sister" Diane Kludt of Dell Rapids, South Dakota; thirteen nieces and nephews, Dustin (Holly) Tirevold; Nathan Tirevold; Ashley (Adam) Fries; Tyler Isaacson (Jessica Gibson), Ryan Isaacson; Lindsey Isaacson; Tylor Evans; Brandon (Laura) Evans; Brady Evans (Shannon Dailey); Logan Evans; Trey Sukalski; Sharon (Mike) Hooge; Katrina (Chris) Thiel; nine great nieces and nephews; many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Edward and Anna Evans and Gustav and Francis Krueger and five uncles and one aunt.
