Armstrong – Services for Mrs. Esther [Lenore] Enokson, 84, Armstrong, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Nazareth Lutheran Church, Armstrong, with the Rev. Donahue Sarff officiating. Interment will be in Armstrong Grove Cemetery.

Mrs. Enokson died Monday [October 23, 1978] morning at a Minneapolis, Minn., nursing home.

Henry and Olson Funeral Home, Armstrong, is in charge of arrangements, where friends may call until noon Wednesday.

Mrs. Enokson was born Sept. 12, 1894, at Norway, Ill., the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Enok Westwick. She received her education in Illinois and attended Jewel College.

She came to Iowa in 1902 with her parents and was married to Mikal Enokson on Jan. 31, 1920, at Williams. She lived her entire married life in the Armstrong area, where she was a member of the Nazareth Lutheran Church. Mrs. Enokson began living in Minneapolis in the spring of 1977.

Mrs. Enockson is survived by one son, Russell Enokson, Minneapolis. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, five brothers and two sisters. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, October 24, 1978)
