Armstrong – Mikal Enokson, 87, Armstrong, died July 7 at the Fairmont Community Hospital. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Friday at the Nazareth Lutheran Church with Pastor Donahue Sarff officiating and burial at the Armstrong Grove Cemetery. Friends may call at the Henry Funeral Home, Armstrong.Mr. Enokson was born September 10, 1888 in Norway to Enok and Karin Byberg Enokson. He received a grade school education and was married to Esther Westwick Jan. 31, 1920 at Williams. After moving to the United States Mr. Enokson began farming at Ottawa, Ill., then farmed at Williams and Armstrong. He was a member of the Nazareth Lutheran Church and a veteran of World War I.
Survivors include his wife, Esther; one son, Russell, Minneapolis, Minn.; one brother, Enok Enokson Jr., Norway; and one sister, Elizabeth Faa, Norway. He was preceded in death by five sisters and one brother. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, July 8, 1976)
