John England
Hemet, Calif. – John Archie England, 86, of Hemet and long time rural Estherville resident, died Saturday, Feb. 15, 1992 at Hemet Valley Medical Center ICU. Interment will be held at Estherville at a later date. Miller-Jones Mortuary and Crematory of Hemet was in charge of arrangements.

England was born November 10, 1905 at Myrtle Creek, Oregon, the son of John and Lillie May (Mitchell) England and as a child moved with his parents to Emmet County, Iowa, where he attended school. On July 5, 1931 he was united in marriage with Lydia Jensen. The couple farmed near Estherville for 40 years. He retired about 1981. He was a member of the United Methodist Church.

Survivors include one daughter, Patricia Chavez of Hemet; two grandchildren; one great-grandchild; three brothers: Otis and Lyle England of Armstrong and Roy England of Bloomington, Minn.; three sisters: Marie Fertig, Odebolt; Viola Bigelow, Rockwell City and Hazel Hutchinson, Litton.

He was preceded in death by his wife Lydia in 1981 and two sisters. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, February 22, 1992)

Estherville – Graveside memorial service for John England of Hemet, Calif. formerly of Estherville, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday, May 4, at Estherville Memorial Cemetery. He died Saturday, Feb. 15, 1992 at Hemet. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, April 29, 1992)
