Mrs. Dunn, Former Armstrong Woman Dies At Trosky
Mrs. B.J. Dunn, 66, a former Armstrong resident, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Roscoe Herman of Trosky, Minn., Thursday [February 8, 1934] evening a 7 o’clock from a paralytic stroke. Mr. and Mrs. Dunn went to Trosky, Minn., from Armstrong 15 years ago, where Mr. Dunn died the following year in Oct. 1920.

Funeral services were held last Sunday morning at Trosky and on Sunday afternoon in the Methodist church, here, Rev. J.E. Clifton having charge here. Burial was made in the Armstrong cemetery. The American Legion of Trosky were pall bearers.

Four children survive their mother. They are Mrs. Addie Herman, Chester Dunn, Trosky, Minn., Mrs. Hattie Peterson, Mount Vernon, S.D., and Bert Dunn, Bismark, N.D. One daughter, Mrs. Myrtle Johnson preceded her mother in death. Those from out of town who were to attend the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Anderson and two sons, Mr. and Mrs. Hahoack and Alfred Dunn of Granada, Minn., Mr. and Mrs. Canright and Mrs. Canright’s sister and mother of Fairmont, Mrs. Herman Lorenz of Estherville, Mr. and Mrs. Glen Vaughn, Elmore, Minn., Mr. and Mrs. Boyd Anderson, Worthington, Minn., Mrs. Cassie Christensen, Ringsted, Mrs. Mable Peterson, Forest City, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Smith, Ft. Dodge, Mr. and Mrs. Howard Smith and son, Albert Lea, Burt Dunn and Son Burtrum, Bismark, N.D., and Mr. and Mrs. Peterson of Vernon, S.D. (Vindicator and Republican, Estherville, IA, February 13, 1934)

Services for Mrs. Bert Dunn of Trosky, Minn. were held at the local M.E. church Sunday afternoon, conducted by Rev. Clifton. Her body was laid to rest in the family lot in the local cemetery. She is survived by four children, Mrs. Hollie Peterson of Mount Vernon, S.D., Bert Dunn of Bismarck, N.D., Mrs. Roscoe Herman and Chester Dunn of Trosky, Minn. Her husband and oldest daughter, Myrtle, preceded her in death in 1920.

Those from out of town attending the services were Mr. and Mrs. Peterson of Mount Vernon, S.D., Bert Dunn and son, Burtrum, of Bismarck, N.D., Mr. and Mrs. Roscoe Herman, Mr. and Mrs. Chester Dunn of Trosky, Minn., Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Anderson and sons, Mr. and Mrs. Hohouck and Alfred Dunn of Granada, Minn., and the latter’s mother and sister of Fairmont, Minn., Mr. and Mrs. Howard Smith and sons of Albert Lea, Minn., Mr. and Mrs. Albert Smith of Ft. Dodge, Mrs. Mable Peterson of Forrest City, Mr. and Mrs. Glen Vaughn of Elmore, Minn., Mrs. Cassie Christensen of Ringsted, Mr. and Mrs. Boyd Anderson of Worthington, Minn., and Mr. and Mrs. Herman Laurenz of Estherville.
