The remains of Geo. Doughty were brought to Armstrong from Boise, Idaho, last Monday and laid to rest beside those of his brother, Thos. Doughty, a former banker of that city.

The Rev. Arthur G. Bailey of this city officiated at the ceremony. Mr. Doughty, while born in Scotland, was one of the pioneer settlers of Jack Creek township. Mr. Doughty has been in failing health for several years and has been compelled to reside in the west.

The remains were accompanied here by Mrs. Wm. Kitchen [Ketchen] and son. There were several old time friends from this city who attended the funeral services at Armstrong. (Estherville Enterprise, Estherville, IA, September 13, 1933)
