Estherville – Services for Daniel W. [Webster] Conn, 87, Estherville, will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, at the Henry and Olson Funeral Chapel, Estherville, with the Rev. Tom Balm of the Estherville United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in Armstrong Grove Cemetery, Armstrong. He died Saturday, March 23, 1985 at Holy Family Hospital, Estherville.

Friends may call after 5 p.m. Monday at Henry and Olson Funeral Home in Estherville.

He was born Feb. 4, 1898 in Wolcott, Ind., to Mr. and Mrs. Henry Conn and received his education in Indiana. On Aug. 12, 1926 he was united in marriage with Carmey Mitchell at Fairmont, Minn. They lived and farmed in the Armstrong-Estherville area most of his life. He retired in 1960 and has been a resident of the Good Samaritan Center for the past two years.

Survivors include his wife Carmey, Estherville; two sons, Vurley Conn, Medelia, Minn., and Ervin Conn, Racine, Wis.; two daughters, Mrs. Jim (Melba) Haffey, Jackson, Minn., and Mrs. David (Betty) Steen, Fairmont, Minn.; 12 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one son Ivan, a daughter Doris, one grandson, Terry, two brothers and two sisters. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, March 25, 1985)
