Obituary
Mrs. Eleanor Wallace Clark [Eunice Elenora Wallace Clark] was born in Pennsylvania, March 3, 1855, eight miles from Elmira, New York. When she was one year old her parents moved to Will County, Ill., where they resided until she was thirteen years of age when they moved to Dunn County, Wisconsin. In the year 1872 she was united in marriage to Burdine P. [Bertine Pinckney] Clark. To this union two children were born, Grace E. Richmond of Armstrong and Bert L. of Dolliver, Iowa. In 1880 they moved to Emmet County, Iowa, and resided for a time, after which they returned to Wisconsin, returning to Iowa three years later. She died the morning of Oct. 26, [16] 1916, aged 61 years, 7 months and 13 days, leaving to mourn her loss, the husband, two children, three sisters and three brothers. She was a loving wife, a devoted mother and a true friend. Her life was such as of which may be said, “while dead, yet she lives.” (Vindicator and Republican, Estherville, IA, November 1, 1916)
