Fairview Items: Miss Alice Clark, aged 14 years, died at her home, two miles south of Fairview [Emmet County], Friday [August 3, 1900/ per gravestone, August 4]. She was a very interesting child and was beloved by her teachers, playmates and friends. Funeral services were held on Sunday, at Bancroft, where the remains were taken for burial. Mr. Clark’s have the sympathy of many friends. (Emmet County Republican, Estherville, IA, August 9, 1900)
