Mrs. Christensen Dies; Funeral to Be Friday
Mrs. William (Myrtle) Christensen, 74, Swea City, died at 2:48 p.m. Tuesday [November 24, 1970] at Holy Family Hospital. She was born July 17, 1896, at Stockton, Ill., the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles McGregor.

She moved to Swea City with her parents when she was four years old and moved to Missouri with her parents for two years and then back to Swea City where she lived the rest of her life. She was a member of the Eastern Star, American Legion Auxiliary and the United Methodist Church.

Survivors are her husband, William; one daughter, Mrs. L. G. (Dorothy) Haugen, Burlington; one son, Bill, Chicago, Ill.; six grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and one sister.

Services are Friday at 2 p.m. at the United Methodist Church in Swea Coty with the Rev. W. M. Bloodworth officiating.

Burial is at Armstrong Grove Cemetery in Armstrong.

Friends may call at the Reese-Henry Funeral Home in Swea City after 5 p.m. Thursday. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, November 25, 1970)

Mr. and Mrs. Carl Bensen attended the funeral of Mrs. William Christensen at Swea City on Friday. The Christensens were cousins of Mr. Benson. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, December 4, 1970)
