Mrs. John Caboth Dies at Age 71
Mrs. John Caboth, 71, Armstrong, died Sunday [December 31, 1967] evening a Holy Family Hospital, the result of a stroke.

She was born March 24, 1896, in Illinois to Mr. and Mrs. George Bloyer.

She received her education at Schaller, where she moved as a child. She married John Caboth Dec. 15, 1915 at Sac City. They farmed near Schaller until moving to a farm near Armstrong in 1935.

She was a member of the Armstrong Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include her husband, four daughters; Mildred (Mrs. Calvin Porter) Armstrong; Evelyn (Mrs. Russell Tordoff) Lake Mills; Marjorie (Mrs. Earl Randal) Weldon, Iowa; Bonnie (Mrs. John Rike) Titonka; 14 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Brothers Guy Bloyer, Schaller; Gerald Bloyer, Schaller; George Bloyr, Schaller; sisters, Mrs. Maude Meyers, Schaller; Mrs. Grace Hase, Schaller and Bernice Bloyer, Schaller; Mrs. Henry Goodman, Early.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one son, one brother and one sister.

Family funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Slaba-Reese Chapel, Armstrong. Public services at 2 p.m. at Armstrong Presbyterian Church, Rev. Ellis Gasser, officiating. Burial will be in Armstrong Grove Cemetery.

Friends may call at Slaba-Reese Funeral Home after 7 p.m. today until noon Thursday when the casket will be taken to the church. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, January 2, 1968)
