Daisy Bunt
Death came twice this week to sadden the Bunt homes in Armstrong, claiming Miss Daisy Bunt early Friday morning and her niece Miss Mae Bunt Monday morning.The aged lady had been confined to her bed with inflammatory rheumatism for many years. She made her home with her brother, Reuben Bunt, and family. Prior to her illness she had been a teacher in the rural schools of Emmet county which county has been the home of the family since pioneer days.
Miss Bunt was an active worker in the Lutheran church of Armstrong and burial rites were held from that church Sunday afternoon. She was also a member of the Rebekah lodge. She is survived by her two brothers Reuben and John both of Armstrong. (Vindicator and Republican, Estherville, IA, June 30, 1936)
Funeral services conducted by Rev. R.W. Boute were held at the Lutheran Church for Daisy Edith Bunt who died June 25, 1936, at the home of her brother, R.E. Bunt, after a lingering illness of several years. Burial was in Armstrong Grove cemetery. (Estherville Enterprise, Estherville, IA, July 1, 1936)
