ESTHERVILLE - Funeral services for Jean Nolan, 67, of Estherville will be held at Cross Roads Community Church in Estherville.

Interment will be at East Side Memorial Cemetery in Estherville.

Jean E. (Goraczkowski) Nolan, the daughter of Peter and Bertha (Doroski) Goraczkowski, was born Dec. 7, 1946, in Queens, Long Island, New York. She passed away Tuesday, Dec. 17, 2013, at Avera Holy Family Health in Estherville, Iowa.

She received her education in the Estherville schools graduating from Estherville High School.

On May 27, 1977, Jean was united in marriage to Ricky Nolan. The couple made their home in Estherville and Jean, along with being a mother, was employed as waitress, cook, housekeeper and nurses aide. She was very active in the Special Olympics. In her leisure time Jean enjoyed crocheting, watching racing and football.

She attended Crossroads Community Church.

Left to cherish Jean's memory are her husband, Ricky of Estherville; her son, Joshua Nolan of Estherville; Jolynn Rattenborg of Omaha, Nebraska; 6 grandchildren; son-in-law, Carl Wade; siblings, Teresa Isder of Estherville; Vicky (Jerry) Menke of Cherokee, Iowa; Joel (Barb) Goraczkowski; Maralee Donnell; Sue (Kyle) Ricci and many nieces and nephews.

Preceding Jean in death are her parents; grandparents; step-father, Ernie Isder; step-daughter Amy; and brother, Victor.
