Bilharz Rites Will Be Held at 2 p.m. Saturday
Last rites for Lawrence (Lefty) [August] Bilharz, 74, a former Armstrong businessman, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Armstrong First Presbyterian Church with the Rev. James Rowe officiating. Burial will be in Armstrong Grove Cemetery. Bilharz died Wednesday [March 6, 1963] morning at Holy Family Hospital. Mr. and Mrs. [Emma Elizabeth Patterson] Bilharz celebrated their 50th anniversary on Jan. 3, 1962, and shortly after that time they became permanent residents at Holy Family Hospital. Mrs. Bilharz is still living there. Friends may call at the Slaba Funeral Home in Armstrong from today until time of service on Saturday. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, March 8, 1963)
