Anne M. [Angeline Myrtle] Beardsley, 77, a Cedar Rapids resident before moving to Des Moines 36 years ago, died of a heart attack at her Des Moines home Tuesday.

She was born Jan. 24, 1901, at Armstrong.

She was a member of the Plymouth United Church of Christ of Des Moines, P.E.O., the Retired Teachers Association and the Polk County Federation of Women’s Clubs.

She was a graduate of Drake University and the University of Northern Iowa.

Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Marilyn Heise of Glencoe, Ill.; two brothers, Lloyd Knudson of Des Moines and Arnold Knudson of Seattle, Wash.; and three grandchildren.

Services: Saturday at 1 p.m. at the Westover Funeral Home, Des Moines. Burial: Grove Cemetery, [Armstrong Grove], Armstrong at 1 p.m. Sunday. (Cedar Rapids Gazette, Cedar Rapids, IA, December 1, 1978)
