Mrs. Sarah Bannister Dies
Mrs. Sarah Bannister died at the home of her parents Mr. and Mrs. Joe Madden at Halfa.

Mrs. Bannister had undergone an operation for cancer a few months ago and her condition has been serious. A complete obituary will be published in our Thursday issue. (Vindicator and Republican, Estherville, IA, May 16, 1933)

This community is grieving the death of Mrs. George Bannister, who passed away Wednesday morning, May 10, after a short illness. She leaves to mourn her death, her husband, and two children Bernita and Willard. Mrs. Bannister passed away at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Madden. Funeral services were conducted by the Rev. Arthur O. Bailey, Sr., Friday afternoon in the Halfa Presbyterian Church burial in the Armstrong cemetery. Mrs. Bannister, 45, Dies Tuesday A.M. At Parent’s Home
Mrs. Sarah Bannister, 45, of Wheaton, Minn., passed away on Tuesday morning at the home of her parents Mr. and Mrs. J.W. Madden of Halfa. Mrs. Bannister’s death was caused by cancer. She was visiting her parents for a few days at the time of her passing.

Funeral services were held Friday at the Halfa church and burial was made in the Armstrong cemetery.

She is survived by her husband, George Bannister, two children, Benita and Willard, seven sisters and brothers. (Vindicator and Republican, Estherville, IA, May 18, 1933)
