Mr. and Mrs. Richard King were called to Schaller Friday by the death of Mr. King’s mother, Mrs. Mary [Mary Elizabeth Cason] King. Mrs. King had undergone an operation at a hospital in Sioux City a couple of weeks ago. Funeral services were held at Schaller Tuesday. (Vindicator and Republican, Estherville, IA, December 2, 1931)

Mrs. Mary King, of Schaller, mother of Mrs. E.K. Ayers, of Maple Hill and Richard King of Estherville, passed away Thursday [November 26, 1931] morning after an illness of about six weeks. Funeral services which were held at Schaller Sunday were attended by Mr. and Mrs. E.K. Ayers and children, Kenneth, Otis, Raymond and Clara, Mr., and Mrs. George Holl and Mrs. Henry Holl.
