Dolliver – Tom [Thomas] B. Richards, 82, Dolliver, died Nov. 11 at Holy Family Hospital. Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Dolliver United Methodist Church with Pastor Travis Cannaday officiating and burial at the Dolliver Cemetery. Friends may call at the Henry and Olson Funeral Home, Estherville, until 11 a.m. Saturday when the casket will be taken to the church.

Mr. Richards was born March 20, 1894 at Dows to Charles and Mary Inman Richards and was educated in Dows. He was married to Emma Moltzen Jan. 21, 1920, at Dolliver. He moved to the Dolliver area in 1915 and lived and farmed there the rest of his life. He was a member of the Dolliver United Methodist Church, creamery board, 18-year member of the school board, a World War I veteran and a trustee of Lincoln Township.

Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Wilburn (Lorna) Swanson, Dolliver; three grandchildren, two great grandchildren; two brothers, Ralph Richards, Spirit Lake; and Clarence Richards, Dows; and one sister, Mrs. Pearl Heuer, California.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife and four brothers. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, November 12, 1976)
