Dolliver – Services for Lester [Henry] Nissen, 83, of Dolliver, will be held Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at the Dolliver Lutheran Church with Pastor Todd A. Nelsen officiating. Interment will be in Lincoln Township Cemetery near rural Dolliver. Henry-Olson-Fuhrman Funeral Home of Estherville is in charge of arrangements. [dod: January 10, 1996]

He was born June 23, 1912 at Langdon, the son of Chris and Augusta (Schwidder) Nissen. He attended school in Clay and Emmet County country schools. He moved to a farm east of Dolliver with his family where he lived and farmed until his health failed. He was baptized in the Lutheran Faith.

Survivors include a brother, Leslie Nissen of Dolliver and a sister, Lilah Hovick of Ringsted; two nieces and 2 nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, January 13, 1996)
