The Sandon family of Lake Mills, came Sunday for a visit at the Irwin Newland home and to make the acquaintance of Miss Barbara LaMar Newland, who arrived July 26th, to make her home with them. (Estherville Enterprise, Estherville, IA, August 6, 1924)

On August 28th the month old baby girl of Mr. and Mrs. Irwin Newland passed away. Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at the church conducted by Rev. Hedide. (Estherville Enterprise, Estherville, IA, September 3, 1924)
