Graettinger – Funeral services for Robert W. Miller, 57, of Fairmont, Minn., formerly of Graettinger will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 30 at the United Methodist Church in Graettinger with the Rev. Vicki Fisher officiating. Interment will be held at Lincoln Township Cemetery in Dolliver. He died on Wednesday, March 27, 2002 at the Fairmont Community Hospital in Fairmont.

Visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. today at the Henry-Olson-Fuhrman Funeral Home in Graettinger.

Robert was born on Nov. 13, 1944 in McIntire, the son of Marvin J. and Harriet S. (Whitman) Miller. He graduated from Graettinger High School in Graettinger in 1962.

Following his graduation from high school he served in the United States Army from 1962 through 1964. He was a data processor and was stationed at Fort Monmouth, N.J.

After his discharge from the military service he was employed with Fidelity Bank in Beverly Hills, Calif. as a data processor. Later he was employed with the Gulf Coast Collection Agency doing telephone work.

After leaving that position Robert was employed as a data processing manager with Textured Coatings of America for the next ten years. Robert moved to Nevada and worked for Story County Mental Health. He then moved to Des Moines and was employed with Midwest Mutual Insurance as a data processor for six years.

He was disabled in an automobile accident in 1976 and was unable to work. For hobbies Robert enjoyed fishing, photography, music and growing his house plants.

Robert is survived by three sisters, JoAnn Stueve and her husband, Gilbert of Graettinger, Janice Simington of Graettinger and Ann Joyce and her husband, Paul, of Graettinger; many nieces and nephews and one brother-in-law, Virgil Togstad of Roseville, Minn.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Beverly Togstad. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, March 29, 2002)
