Dolliver – Services for Mrs. Harriet Miller, 73, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the United Methodist Church, Dolliver, with the Rev. Marshall Monthei officiating. Interment will be in Lincoln Township Cemetery, rural Dolliver. She died Wednesday, May 17, 1989 at her home on Tuttle Lake.Friends may call at Henry-Olson-Fuhrman Funeral Home in Estherville from 3-9 p.m. Sunday.
She was born Jan. 17, 1916 at Estherville, the daughter of William and IdaBelle (Wilhelm) Whitman and attended Estherville, Spirit Lake and Fairmont schools. Feb. 2, 1932 she married Marvin Miller at Blue Earth, Minn. After marriage the couple lived at Riceville, Graettinger and in 1967 moved to Dolliver where she was employed many years by P.G. Gray’s and later WADCO, she also operated Helen’s Café in Graettinger. She was a member of United Methodist Church.
Survivors include one son Robert, Dolliver; four daughters: Mrs. Virgil (Beverly) Togstad, Roseville, Minn.; Mrs. Gilbert (JoAnn) Stueve and Mrs. Janice Simington, Graettinger; and Mrs. Dennis (Ann) Aaker, Dolliver; 18 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; two sisters: Mrs. Fern Hensiek, Graettinger and Mrs. Doris Hall, Fairmont, Minn.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband who died Jan. 12, 1988; one granddaughter, one brother and two sisters. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, May 20, 1989)
