Estherville – Matthew Colver Klunder, 1 1/2 , rural Ceylon, Minn., died July 20 at Holy Family Hospital, Estherville, after falling from a vehicle 1 ¾ miles south of Dolliver.

Services for Mr. Klunder were held July 23, at the United Methodist Church, Dolliver, with Dr. Merrill Summerbell officiating. Interment was in Lincoln Township Cemetery, Dolliver.

Henry and Olson Funeral Home, Estherville, was in charge of arrangements.

The son of Mr. and Mrs. Kelvin Klunder, he was born Dec. 1, 1977, at Fairmont, Minn., and spent his life on a farm just north of the Iowa-Minnesota State Line. He was baptized in the United Methodist Church on April 16, 1978.

Mr. Klunder is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Kelvin Klunder; maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Lucas Mein, Gruver, paternal grandmother, Mrs. Doris Klunder, Plainfield; maternal great grandmother, Mrs. Lucille DeVary, Dolliver; paternal great grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Klunder, Clarksville, and Mrs. Callice Cruse, Plainfield; one brother, Lucas Klunder, at home; and many aunts and uncles.

He was preceded in death by one grandfather and five great grandparents. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, July 23, 1979)
