Estherville – Services for Robert F. [Franklin] Hartman, 73, of Estherville, will be held Friday at 10:30 a.m. at United Methodist Church with the Rev. David Wendel officiating. Interment will be in Lincoln Township Cemetery, rural Dolliver. He died Tuesday, June 7, 1994 at Holy Family Hospital, Estherville.

Visitation will be Thursday from 4-8 p.m. at Henry-Olson-Fuhrman Funeral Home in Estherville.

He was born Dec. 22, 1920 in West Chicago, Ill., the son of Frank and Sarah (Clark) Hartman and attended school three until moving to rural Estherville with his parents in 1934. He completed his education in Gruver School graduating from high school in 1938. On July 4, 1943 he was united in marriage with Rosemary Haywood at Estherville. The couple farmed east of Estherville many years before retiring in 1985. He was a member of the United Methodist Church in Estherville.

He is survived by his wife Rosemary Hartman, Estherville; two daughters, Mrs. David (Janet) Postier of Rochester, Minn. and Mrs. Jack (Marilee) Weber of Dolliver; grandchildren Donna Patten and Tony Weber; one brother, James Hartman of Estherville and one sister, Charlotte Larsen of Virginia Beach, Va.; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one infant brother and one sister. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, June 9, 1994)
