Armstrong – Funeral services for Marjorie M. Feddersen, 92, of Armstrong will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 2, 2001 at United Methodist Church in Armstrong with the Reverend Dan Miller officiating. Interment will be held at Lincoln Township Cemetery in Dolliver. She died on Wednesday, Jan. 31, 2001 at Lakeview Methodist Care Center in Fairmont, Minn.

Visitation will be held from 5-8 pm. today at the Henry-Olson-Fuhrman Funeral Home in Armstrong.

She was born on Sept. 17, 1908 near Washta, the daughter of John and Jennie (Keck) Williams. She graduated from Washta High school and from the Teacher Training Department at Morningside College in Sioux City.

She taught in a one-room country school, at Grant School near Ledyard and at Dolliver School in Dolliver.

On June 22, 1938, she was united in marriage to Chris Feddersen in Spencer. They farmed north of Armstrong and then north of Swea City until Chris’ death in 1968. She moved to Armstrong at that time.

She was a member of the United Methodist Church and United Methodist Women in Armstrong. She was also a member of the Rebekah Lodge and the Past Noble Grands, Senior Citizens and the Federated Women’s Club of Armstrong.

She enjoyed reading and sewing clothes and crafts. She authored a poem entitled “Mehitable Jane of Butterfly Lane.”

She is survived by one daughter, Catherine Johnson and her husband, Richard of Fairmont; two grandchildren and one great granddaughter.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, one brother and three sisters. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, February 1, 2001)
