Feddersen Dies at 46
Carl Feddersen, 46, of Estherville died yesterday at 6:10 p.m. at Holy Family Hospital from a heart attack. He was admitted to the hospital Tuesday night after falling ill Sunday.
Carl John Feddersen was born June 26, 1920, at Dolliver, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Feddersen. He received his education in Dolliver schools.
Nov. 25, 1947, he was married to Mary Sayers of Estherville in Jackson, Minn. Since his marriage he lived in the Estherville area.
He farmed for a while and then worked for the Sioux Valley Fish Line Co. until it was closed. For the past 10 years, Mr. Feddersen had worked for John Morrell and Co.
He was a veteran of World War II and a member of the V.F.W. and the Estherville Saddle Club.
Mr. Feddersen is survived by his wife, Mary, of Estherville; five children at home, Carla, 17, Connie, 16, Cheryl, 14 Christie, 7, and Michael, 4; five brothers, Henry of Dolliver, Louis of Spirit Lake, Ernest of Ringsted, Elmer of Omaha and John of Armstrong; and four sisters, Mrs. Henry Tordoff and Mrs. Oscar Hansen of Estherville, Mrs. Monroe Rankin of Armstrong, and Mrs. Joseph McConnell of Armstrong.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother.
Family services will be held Saturday at 1:15 at the Reese-Henry Funeral Home, followed by public services at the Union Baptist Church at 2 p.m., Rev. Rawlin Johnson officiating.
Burial will be in the Dolliver Cemetery. Military graveside services will be conducted.
