Estherville – Funeral services for Marie C. Clausen, 87, will be held Thursday at 1:30 p.m. at Henry-Olson-Fuhrman Funeral Chapel in Estherville with Pastor Virgil Anderson, Good Samaritan Center Chaplain officiating. Interment will be in Lincoln Township Cemetery, Dolliver. She died Monday at Good Samaritan Center, Estherville.

Friends may call at the funeral chapel from 4-7 p.m. Wednesday.

She was born Feb. 24, 1904 near Dolliver, the daughter of Henry and Christina (Feddersen) Clausen and attended Dolliver School. She cared for her family many years before moving to Estherville in 1970. She remained single. She attended the Community Church in Dolliver.

Survivor include one brother, Arnold Clausen, Ringsted; three sisters, Hulda Kramersmeier, Ledyard; Mrs. Stanley (Freda) Jackson, Edina, Minn. and Ella Lanning, Marshalltown; six nephews and four nieces.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Carl and one sister, Viola. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, October 2, 1991)
