Miss Clausen’s Funeral Rites Are Tomorrow
Burial To Be In Dolliver Cemetery
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. tomorrow in the Dolliver Methodist church for Miss Viola Sabine Clausen, 24, who died Sunday [April 19, 1942] evening at her apartment here.

The Rev. C.L. Day will be in charge of the services and burial will be in the Dolliver cemetery.

Miss Clausen was born June 20, 1917 at Dolliver. She was graduated from the Dolliver high school in 1935. She made her home here with a sister, Miss Marie Clausen.

Surviving are her father, Henry Clausen; four sisters, Marie of Estherville, Mrs. Alfred Kramersmeir of Kanawha, Mrs. Stanley Jackson of Mankato, Minn. and Mrs. Ella Lanning of Rhodes and two brothers, Arnold of Dolliver and Carl of Armstrong. Viola Clausen Dies Sunday
Passes Away After A Five Year Siege of Bad Health
Miss Viola Savina [Sabine] Clausen, 2, of Estherville died Sunday night after five years of ill health. She was suffering from bronchitis, and in the past year had been in very poor health. She graduated from the Dolliver high school in 1935, and in her short life time has made many friends who mourn her death.

She was preceded in death by her mother twenty two years ago, and surviving her are her father, Henry Clausen and two brothers, Carl of Armstrong and Arnold of Dolliver who left with the Emmet County draft quota Sunday afternoon. He is returning to attend the funeral. Also four sisters, Miss Marie Clausen of Estherville, Mrs. Alfred Kramermeir of Canova, Iowa; Mrs. Stanley Jackson of Mankato; Mrs. Vernon Lanning of Rhodes, Iowa, and many relatives in this vicinity.

The funeral will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 in the Dolliver church with Rev. Day officiating. (Vindicator and Republican, Estherville, IA, April 21, 1942)
